PARIS

THURSDAY 21.5.2009

Had a great farwell dinner last night, nearly everyone has flown out this morning and we move up to Montmatre today.  Paris is everything I thought it would be, beautiful, loads of atmosphere and extremely expensive. We caught a taxi to montmatre at around midday and booked into our little apartment, its very cute and probably a bit bigger than I thought it would be, Beth the lady who owns it is a real character, we arrived around 12.15 (and today is a bank holiday here) and she said have you heard of chapel (this is Thursday!!), she said is our tradition on a public holiday or weekends we meet friends at La Mascotte for chapel (its a bar and restaurant) where the wine is good, settle in and meet me there at 1.00p.m. so that was great fun!  Then off for lunch at their sister restaurant and then to do some food shopping, the fruit here is just amazing, I bought loads of berries and cherries, cheeses, meats and breads and things and then we meandered back for a nana nap.  We had a walk around in the evening, pletty going on around here, some parts are "red light" but its all a bit of fun.  We await Amber and Sams arrival tonight they get here around midnight, and are staying literally across the street.
